About the domain :

Following in the footsteps of five generations, Baron Frédéric de Luze took over the reins of the family estate in 2004. In 1992, with his partner Thierry Decre, he created the LD Vins trading house, renowned for its distribution of grands crus classés. His untimely death shook Bordeaux to its core. Since 2010, Stéphane Derenoncourt has worked as a consultant. The wines are always elegant, fine and delicate, in short, very Margalais. 2015 marked the beginning of a comeback for this lovely estate, and 2016 confirms it!

Steadily improving over the last few years, this cru continues its ascent with this highly successful vintage. Tactile, silky, very approachable with its round profile, yet not lacking in freshness or structure, it develops a superb bouquet of ripe red fruit, blackcurrant, spice and humus. About the domain :

Dating back to the 17th century, a vast château with a rose garden and a 32-hectare vineyard in a single block, set in the Garonne gravel of the Soussans plateau. Baron Alfred de Luze acquired the property in 1862, and since 2016 it has been managed by one of his descendants, Marguerite de Luze.

About the wine:

Aromas of sweet berries, spices, rose petals and loamy soil introduce Paveil de Luze 2019. A medium- to full-bodied wine, supple and seamless, lively, sapid and refined, showing real class and character. Cabernet Sauvignon on gravel is the order of the day, and the result is one of the Médoc's best non-classified wines this year.

A vineyard located in Soussans, in the northern part of the Margaux appellation, has given birth to this elegantly textured wine. Ripe black fruits and tannins suitable for ageing, offer spice and hints of liquorice alongside fruitiness. Drink from 2026.

Paveil de Luze 2019 is bursting with very ripe dark red fruits, kirsch, blood orange, rose petals and spices. There's plenty of freshness to bring out some of the more exotic flavors. This is a particularly racy Margaux, full of character. The 2019 is impressive, just as it was in barrel.
