"The 2019 S de Siran has a light nose of red fruit, a little earthy in style. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins and good density, and quite structured on the finish. A highly recommendable Second Vin. " (Vinous Neal Martin - 2021)

Margaux
Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2021) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
This Margaux cru, situated on the beautiful Labarde gravel, has been run by Édouard Miailhe since 2007. Siran wines are always charming in their youth, and become more complex with age, with notes of old rose and spices giving them finesse and elegance. Siran wines could be described as Margaux classics. Since the 2015 vintage, we've noticed a certain shift in style, which now plays on the register of extreme power. To be continued.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2021) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
Formerly owned by Toulouse-Lautrec's great-grandmother, Ch. Siran came into the Miailhe family in 1859. Since 2007, Édouard Miailhe has held the keys to the estate. The vineyard extends over 36 ha: 9 ha in Bordeaux Supérieur, 2 ha in Haut-Médoc and 25 ha in Margaux, to the south of the appellation area, on the gravelly plateau of Labarde; a high-quality terroir that would undoubtedly have earned it a place in the famous 1855 classification had the Miailhe family arrived earlier.

Domaine rated (guide 2021) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
This well-situated Margaux cru deserves a place among the crus classés, especially as it has risen to its highest level under Edouard Miailhe. Its remarkable terroir, located in the most southerly commune of the appellation (Labarde), extends over a superb plateau of siliceous gravel. Tasting the old vintages that the château is fortunate enough to have in its vinothèque reveals the cru's full potential. The last decade has brought it to truly remarkable levels that will age wonderfully.

Rated wine (guide 2021) 88/100
About the wine:

Vert de Vin
Rated wine (guide 2022) 90/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About the wine:
The nose is fruity, with fine power and a little racy minerality. Notes of fresh strawberry, raspberry and, to a lesser extent, pulpy black berries are combined with hints of licorice, chocolate and toasty notes. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, a lovely acidic structure, a certain delicacy and roundness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/acidic redcurrants, tart/crisp strawberries and, more slightly, juicy/acidic blueberries, combined with a touch of fresh/crisp black berries, racy minerality and fine hints of licorice, cocoa, toast and a very discreet hint of tobacco (in the background). Supple tannins.
