About the estate:
Acquired in 1965 by Marc Pagès—now deceased, but whose two grandsons are still involved in La Tour de By—the château is beautifully situated on the banks of the Gironde. Now covering almost 100 hectares, the vineyard includes a beautiful plot near the château, on magnificent Garonne gravel, as well as another located in Saint-Christoly, on clay-limestone soil. Since 2005, La Tour de By has been run by Frédéric Le Clerc, one of Marc Pagès' grandsons."

About the estate:
A good half of the vineyard occupies the most beautiful hilltop of Gunzian gravel in Bégadan, on the banks of the river, in a magnificent location. The microclimate favors Merlot and Cabernet grapes, planted in equal proportions. The château owes much to the involvement of Marc Pagès, now deceased. His heirs are continuing along the same path, going even further in their quest for maturity and precision in winemaking. The latest vintages are impressive."
