"If you're looking for THE great tasting wine, this is it! ~ Terre de Vins "
"Pontet Canet 2021 displays an authentic, precise character, well inspired by the terroir! The wine's power and tension are unsuspected, making it lively and salivating. The somewhat creamy tannins don't let themselves be put off or impressed; they take on their task well and create a symbiosis with the acid structure. Harmony is thus assured. A Pontet Canet that stands out through its vigor and terroir, and which never fails to remind us that it can perform regardless of the vintage. That's what a great wine is all about". Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2021) 5*Stars (Outstanding producers, those who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and the world)
About the domain :
This cru has become one of the most sought-after in the Médoc, thanks to an extraordinary tandem: Jean-Michel Comme, a charismatic manager with a passion for authenticity, and Alfred Tesseron, an equally committed owner-manager ready to take any risk. Their complicity has enabled the conversion of the vineyard to organic viticulture, inspiring all the neighbors, and the perfecting of a work tool adapted to their quest for truth in the expression of terroir and vintage. There are no more second wines; the whole harvest makes a great wine. In terms of style, in recent vintages a proportion of the wine has been matured in concrete vats, balancing the woodiness to perfection and releasing all the aromatic purity of an exceptional juice.

Rated wine (guide 2022) 95-96
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 3*Stars (They represent the excellence of the French vineyard. The best terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wines is always a magical experience)
About the wine:
The vintage has produced a digestible wine of great refinement. The fruit is juicy and lively, the palate suave and the tannins well-defined. A creamy wine, long on the palate and, above all, of great brilliance. The finish is spicy and sapid.
About the domain :
Owned by the Tesseron family, Pontet-Canet owes a great deal to the hard work of Jean-Michel Comme, architect of the transition to biodynamic viticulture over the past thirty years. He left the estate in May 2020, handing over to Mathieu Bessonnet. In any case, the cru has been launched, and there's nothing to suggest that he won't continue along the path he's blazed. It's up to Justine Tesseron, Alfred's daughter and now at the helm, to keep Pontet-Canet in a class of its own. A tour of the winery, horse stables and winemaking facilities reveals just how far Pontet-Canet has taken its vision of excellence and respect for nature to the extreme, whatever the naysayers may say. As a pioneer, Pontet-Canet has set a strong trend in the Médoc that is now setting an example.

About the wine:
Pure aromas of berries and cedar, the wine itself is of great purity. It's a straight line of freshness, blackcurrant and ripe acidity. The wine is beautifully textured and firm at its core. Drink from 2028. Organic and biodynamic.
Terre de Vins
Rated wine (guide 2022) 97/100
About the wine:
Dazzling and, as a bonus, frost-free. The tisanerie was used extensively to combat mildew, and hard-working teams saved the day, achieving the appellation's average yield of 35 hl/ha. Under the leadership of technical director Mathieu Bessonnet, work in the vineyard was as much about responding to the whims of the weather as it was about responding to the whims of the weather (for example, all the vines were treated in 11 hours). The reward is there, with an expressive bouquet of quetsches en confiture, redcurrant jelly and wild mint, a dense, coated tannic structure and a very silky texture that lingers on the finish with a burst of cocoa beans and bitter orange peel. Half of the wine is aged in new barrels, over a third in concrete amphoras and 15% in one-wine barrels. If you're looking for a great tasting wine, this is it!

Vert de Vin
Wine rated (guide 2022) 98/100
About the wine:
The nose is fruity, elegant and distinguished, offering a lovely purity of fruit, delicacy in its concentration, a lovely finesse of grain and complexity. Notes of bright blackcurrant, violet and, more lightly, fresh Morello cherry are combined with hints of fleshy/juicy violet plum, licorice, fine caramelized hints, graphite, racy minerality, subtle hints of crushed berries, discreet hints of bergamot and cherry blossom. On the palate, the wine is beautifully crafted, delicate and precise, offering purity, juiciness, freshness, fine definition, fine work on the bitters, depth, minerality, fine energy, an acidic structure and a lovely crunchiness and juiciness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, fresh/crisp Morello cherry and, more lightly, violet plum, crisp/juicy raspberry, as well as fine hints of bright wild berries, licorice, vanilla, discreet hints of bergamot, subtle hints of fresh flowers, fresh rose, a discreet hint of cardamom, fresh hazelnut, a subtle hint of bourbon vanilla. Supple tannins. Good length. A nice success, a classic.
