"A garnet-purple color, medium to deep intensity, Latour Martillac 2015 reveals a spicy nose of cinnamon stick, clove and anise notes with a body of red and black cherries and fragrant earthy scents. The palate is medium-bodied, juicy and with a firm frame of fine-grained tannins and plenty of freshness lifting the finish." Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2018 guide) 16.5/20 (Reference wine)
Domain rated (2022 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production, a benchmark in its sector)
About the wine:
Complex nose, ripe yet fresh fruit, menthol and floral nuances, clean, very aromatic palate, taut with excellent nervousness. Very well made, refreshing and well-balanced.
About the domain :
This cru classé is a model of family ownership, with all the Kressmann children showing an almost filial attachment to their estate and very sound management. The reds have gained in tannin finesse and textural elegance. The wines are classic, with the emphasis on fruit, tannin quality and freshness. Under the guidance of the very talented and rigorous Valérie Vialard, the whites are irreproachable, precise, aromatic and perfectly lively.

About the domain :
While many of the great names of the Bordeaux wine trade have chosen to establish themselves in the Médoc, the Kressmanns have opted for the Graves and this cru, acquired in 1930, which owes its name to a tower adorning its courtyard, a vestige of a château built in the 12th century by ancestors of Montesquieu. This beautiful 50-hectare estate is renowned for both its white and red wines.

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated (2018 guide) 17.5/20 (Grand vin)
Domaine rated (2023 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, because of their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the wine:
Tristan and Loïc Kressmann, together with their manager Valérie Vialard, have designed a 2015 red wine of the highest quality. It has all the pleasurable qualities of a fine Graves wine. The red fruit combines with spices on the nose and palate, and the charming, greedy tannins respect a very classic profile.
About the domain :
This is a fine example of a family estate, still in the hands of the Kressmanns, a historic family of Bordeaux merchants. Today, Tristan and Loïc Kressmann are at the helm of this well-situated cru classé on the Martillac plateau. The different generations have respected the heritage handed down, while making progress in vineyard management and winemaking with their cellar master, Valérie Vialard. The château inaugurated a new vinification cellar for red wines with the 2019 vintage. Without yielding to the siren calls of passing fashions, the wines have retained their elegant, precise style, but are gaining in density. This convincing balance between tradition and modernity, together with the particularly distinguished character of recent vintages, leads us to award Latour-Martillac a second star.

About the wine:
Solid tannins mark this still very young wine. At the same time, the fruit is generous and well-proportioned. Black berry fruit dominates the fruit spectrum, bringing richness and extraordinary potential to the wine. Drink from 2025.
