"Deep garnet-purple in color, Château Olivier 2018 has a wonderfully perfumed nose of black cherries, black raspberries, fresh cassis and kirsch with suggestions of lilac, cinnamon stick, clove and camphor. Full-bodied, the palate is beautifully balanced with lots of crisp, bright, energetic fruit and a firm, finely grained texture with plenty of freshness and a long, fragrant finish. Superb " (The Wine Advocate Robert Parker 2019) Wooden crate delivery for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domain rated (2020 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
In addition to its 55-hectare vineyard, this magnificent estate on the outskirts of Bordeaux has preserved a large part of its forests and meadows. In the early 2000s, the Bethmann family undertook major renovations and entrusted management of the estate to Laurent Lebrun. His rigor and fine analysis of the terroir have led to a quantum leap in the quality of the wines. The white wine, which traditionally contains a good proportion of Semillon, has become complex and elegant, with a well-asserted personality; the 2017 bluffed us. The reds, much better vinified, express their excellent terroir with greater precision, and are expressive and energetic.

Wine rated (2019 guide) 93/100
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winegrowers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
This red displays uncommon power. Rich, ripe, full and warm, it explodes but balances itself. A wine with an exotic profile and a warm finish.
About the domain :
In just ten years, this Graves cru classé has undergone one of the most important changes in the appellation. Under the impetus of Laurent Lebrun, the wines have reached an excellent level, and the commitment of Alexandre de Bethmann, the owner, is undeniable. He has mobilized considerable financial resources to restructure the vineyard. It has to be said that this property is absolutely magnificent! Nestled in the middle of a wooded area, it rests on a gravelly terroir set on a splendid, well-ventilated hilltop, ideal for producing great Cabernet Sauvignon. The latest vintages produced bear witness to this new dynamic.

About the wine:
A lovely young, tight wine, but it offers plenty of plum, chocolate, walnut and undergrowth character. Full-bodied, but so poised and refined. Beautifully crafted.

About the wine:
Fresh menthol notes mingle with black and red berries. The palate is still quite tannic, but the texture is rich and ripe. Long, lingering finish.

About the wine:
Dense garnet-red. Filigree bouquet with notes of red berries and mint. Delicious, juicy attack. Elegant, slender, perfectly balanced character. The grip of the tannins and the freshness of the acidity complement each other perfectly. Fruity finish.

About the wine:
Refined, elegant, ripe and juicy, this is the finest vintage of Château Olivier Rouge ever produced. Purity of fruit defines this medium-bodied, round, soft, fresh wine, with red berries and leafy tobacco.
