Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
Generali France, owner of the vineyard, can be satisfied with the investments made on the 22 hectares of La Pointe, located on sand and gravel. Always inspired, the property's talented director, Éric Monneret, has succeeded in imposing his wine. He knows perfectly how to manage his technical team, and he listens to the sound advice of consultant Hubert de Boüard. The study of the soils and the implementation of a rigorous parcel management system have enabled the cru to become one of the benchmarks in the sector, gaining in aromatic purity and silkiness over the years.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2020) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
This important cru (23 ha) owes its name to its location in the point formed by the roads to the village and Catusseau, on the outskirts of Libourne. Regular in quality, it was taken over in 2007 by the Générali company. Éric Monneret, a native of the Jura region with a background in Sauternes, runs the estate.

Domaine noté (guide 2022) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
This long-established cru, located at the entrance to Pomerol, has made great strides since its purchase by the Generali insurance company: the vineyard has been taken in hand, and a new winery built. Under the impetus of its director Éric Monneret, the wine is proving to be truly worthy of interest: it now possesses the aromatic charm, suavity, warmth and persistence that we recognize in its best neighbors, as well as a particular finesse which, even in a hot year, preserves it from any heaviness. A property to follow closely!
