"His style and intensity are truly impressive ~ Decanter "

"It's back in our selection for its great success: incredible fruitiness blending crunchy blackcurrant, morello cherry, laurel, greedy concentration, fine tannins underlining a juicy structure. Already a very pleasant tasting experience. Note its small yield, so it should be tracked down as soon as it comes out of primeur". Expert opinion

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (guide 2021) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the domain :

A magnificent chartreuse overlooking the river, Beau-Site enjoys one of the finest panoramic views in the northern part of the appellation. It belongs to Philippe Castéja, who also owns Châteaux Batailley and Trottevieille. The estate produces an elegant, racy wine, always full-bodied without being devoid of finesse or elegance. The estate has turned a corner.

Decanter

Decanter

Wine rated (guide 2023) 92/100

About the wine:

A nose so intensely aromatic, so open and expressive, generous with black fruit notes. Ripe and fragrant, it's on the verge of being powerful and broad-shouldered. Supple but tannic, the tannins give an immediate impression of licorice, graphite and coffee, a little spicy but very stony, such minerality and chalkiness on the palate. The tannins are in the foreground, but they are well worked and this wine has a lovely overall structure. This wine is striking, there's no doubt it's big and not immediately charming, but its style and intensity are quite impressive. A yield of 25 hl/ha. Consultant Axel Marchal.

About the wine:

A powerful Beau-Site with muscular tannins and richness. Remains fresh and bright, with intensity and length. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with great intensity. This wine is very structured and will age admirably.

It's back in our selection for its great success: incredible fruitiness blending crunchy blackcurrant, morello cherry, bay leaf, greedy concentration, fine tannins underlining a juicy structure. Rated wine (guide 2023) 91-93/100

About the wine:

From the outset, Beau-Site displays character... and grandeur. It seems to indicate that we're dealing with a great vintage. Intense blackberry notes are followed by elderberry and chocolate. The wine is suave, somewhat creamy and well supported by its powerful tannins. The tannins take up the rear, but are still austere and tend to tighten the finish. We'll have to wait and see, as for the moment the tannins tend to mask the finish. The outlook is very promising. 2029-2042

Wine rated (guide 2023) 92/100

About the wine:

Unusually rich for Beau-Site, this wine is bursting with ripe black fruit, spice, licorice and flowers. Round, fresh and full of soft, sweet fruit. The finish is fresh and fruity, with hints of licorice and dark cocoa on the finish. Drink between 2025 and 2037.

About the wine:

Dark purple color with violet highlights and an almost black core. Excellent nose of fine fruit, blackcurrant, blackberry and hints of elderberry in the background. Slight spicy and toasty notes. On the palate, ripe but firm tannins, very good structure and length.
