"Its style and intensity are truly impressive ~ Decanter"

"It's back in our selection thanks to its great success: an incredible fruitiness combining crisp blackcurrant, morello cherry, and bay leaf, with a delicious concentration and fine tannins highlighting a juicy structure. Already very pleasant to taste. Note its low yield, so be sure to track it down as soon as it's released as a primeur. (Terre de Vins 2023) - Delivery in a case is possible for orders of 1 magnum of this wine (depending on the country and shipping method selected).

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2021 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

A magnificent charterhouse overlooking the river, Beau-Site enjoys one of the most beautiful panoramas in the northern part of the appellation. It belongs to Philippe Castéja, who also owns the Batailley and Trottevieille châteaux. The estate produces an elegant, distinguished wine that is always full-bodied without lacking finesse or elegance. The property has reached a new milestone.

Decanter

Decanter

Wine rated (2023 guide) 92/100

About wine:

Such an intensely aromatic nose, so open and expressive, generous with notes of black fruit. Ripe and fragrant, it is on the verge of being powerful and broad-shouldered. Supple but tannic, the tannins give an immediate impression of licorice, graphite, and coffee, a little spicy but very stony, with such minerality and a chalky aspect on the palate. The tannins are prominent, but they are well-integrated and this wine has a beautiful overall structure. This wine is striking, there is no doubt that it is robust and not immediately charming, but its style and intensity are quite impressive. Yield of 25 hl/ha. Consultant Axel Marchal.

Wine rated (2023 guide) 91-93/100

About wine:

From the outset, Beau-Site displays character and grandeur. It seems to indicate right away that this is a great vintage. It reveals intense notes of blackberries followed by aromas of elderberry and chocolate. The wine is smooth, somewhat creamy and well supported by powerful tannins. These provide structure but are still austere and tend to tighten the finish. Patience will be required, as the tannins currently tend to mask the finish. The prospects are very promising. 2029-2042

Wine rated (2023 guide) 92/100

About wine:

Unusually rich for Beau-Site, this wine is bursting with ripe black fruit, spices, licorice, and flowers. Round, fresh, and full of soft, sweet fruit. The finish is fresh and fruity, offering hints of licorice and dark cocoa on the palate. Drink between 2025 and 2037.

Wine rated (2024 guide) 93/100

About wine:

Deep purple color with violet highlights and an almost black core. Excellent nose of delicate fruit, blackcurrant, blackberry, and hints of elderberry in the background. Light spicy and toasty notes. On the palate, ripe but firm tannins, very good structure, and length.
