Château Le Crock
Château Le Crock is in the hands of the Cuvelier family, wine merchants in Lille since 1804, who since 1920 have presided over the destiny of the prestigious Château Léoville Poyferré, 2nd Cru Classé in the Saint-Julien appellation, which extends its 80-hectare vineyard in the heart of the Médoc. This estate, which receives the same care as Léoville Poyferré, is surrounded by the Grands Crus Classés Château Cos d'Estournel and Château Montrose and comprises 32 hectares of vines. The oldest, best-situated vines produce the grand vin of Château Le Crock, while the others make up the second wine, La Croix Saint-Estèphe.

Thanks to an effective restructuring and modernization program,Didier Cuvelier has made Château Le Crock one of the jewels in the crown of the Saint-Estèphe appellation. The methods used to produce the wines are all geared towards the same objective of obtaining optimum quality: small yields, ruthlessly sorted manual harvests, vinification supervised by oenologist Michel Rolland, and barrel fermentations are the most significant constraints.

Présentation de la cuvée : Rich and powerful, endowed with great complexity and shaped by the expertise of Isabelle Davin, Léoville Poyferré's oenologist. This is a wine with robust tannins, a delicate bouquet and a full, fleshy structure that will refine over the years to produce a complex, racy nectar.

Second wine of Château Le Crock (Cru Bourgeois), it benefits from the same care given to the first wine. Full-bodied, fleshy, with powerful, rounded tannins, it's perfect for drinking now and over the next three to four years. Ideal with leg of lamb!
