Présentation de la cuvée : Rich and powerful, endowed with great complexity and shaped by the expertise of Isabelle Davin, Léoville Poyferré's oenologist. This is a wine with robust tannins, a delicate bouquet and a full, fleshy structure that will refine over the years to produce a complex, racy nectar.

Château Le Crock
Saint-Estèphe
Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2017) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
The 32 hectares hectares of Château Le Crock lie between Cos d'Estournel and Montrose, and also border Marbuzet and Haut-Marbuzet. Acquired in 1903 by the Cuvelier family, before Léoville-Poyferré, this superb château, whose vineyards are 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, is recommended by Michel Rolland.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Estate rated 5*Stars (Outstanding production)
About the domain :
" The Cuveliers, who later acquired Château Léoville-Poyferré in Saint-Julien, bought Le Crock in 1904. The vineyard comprises three sections, the main one on the Mabuzet hillock and another near Deux Cos. The wines continue to progress steadily, thanks to the construction of a new vat room, a new barrel cellar and particularly careful harvesting. Highly qualitative, even for the 2004, this is a very fine Saint-Estèphe, with tannins that are present and marked on the finish, but rich and spicy on the palate".
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine noté (guide 2017) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and that, as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
This estate, owned by the Cuvelier family (Château Léoville-Poyferré), enjoys a very fine terroir, close to Cos d'Estournel and Haut-Marbuzet. The Château consistently produces a deep, suave Saint-Estephe that can be enjoyed in its youth. Recent vintages have shown great consistency.
