Acquired in 1940 by Jean-Charles Cazes, at the same time as he was managing Château Lynch-Bages, the Château Les Ormes de Pez vineyard today covers 37 hectares of Garonne gravel soil. Château Les Ormes de Pez's vineyard management and winemaking techniques combine the best of tradition and modernity, as at Château Lynch-Bages, which is still owned by the Cazes family, to produce harmonious wines with a spicy, voluptuous character, authentic expressions of the terroir of their appellation. Château Les Ormes de Pez is a well-balanced, aromatically complex wine.

"Over the past 6 years, the proportion of Merlot has increased, giving this already charming cuvée greater stability, roundness and body. The expressive, fruity nose heralds a fleshy, fresh, digestible palate, framed by tonic, ripe tannins. The fine, powdery, liquorice palette is already pleasant to taste.
