Château Ormes de Pez
Château Les Ormes de Pez traces its origins back to the 18th century. Located on the outskirts of the hamlet of Pez to the north of the commune of Saint-Estèphe, near Bordeaux, the Château Les Ormes de Pez estate owes its name to a magnificent bouquet of large elm trees, now extinct, and produces wines in the Saint-Estèphe appellation.

Acquired in 1940 by Jean-Charles Cazes, at the same time as he was managing Château Lynch-Bages, the vineyard of Château Les Ormes de Pez today extends over 37 hectares of Garonne gravel. Château Les Ormes de Pez's vineyard management and winemaking techniques combine the best of tradition and modernity, as at Château Lynch-Bages, which is still owned by the Cazes family, to produce harmonious wines with a spicy, voluptuous character, authentic expressions of the terroir of their appellation. Château Les Ormes de Pez is a well-balanced, aromatically complex wine.

"Particularly good with truly superb sparkle and admirable fruit definition! ~ La RVF "

"Over the past 6 years, the proportion of Merlot has increased, giving this already charming cuvée greater stability, roundness and body. The expressive, fruity nose heralds a fleshy, fresh, digestible palate, framed by tonic, ripe tannins. The fine, powdery, licorice palette is already pleasant to taste. (Terre de Vins 2021) A fine wine, owned since 1940 by the Cazes family, who also run Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac. - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

"This dense wine is full of generous fruit and has a fine structure. Already balanced, the blackberry notes explode, enhanced by hints of spice and dark chocolate. Made by the Lynch-Bages team, it is similarly elegant." (Wine Enthusiast 2017) Delivery in wooden case for any order of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery method) Launch Vintage 2016!
