"A wine of great volume, with substance, but also civilized tannins. It won't shy away from at least a decade of cellaring." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2018 - RVF) In this difficult year, Petit Bocq 2015 is the ideal example of a vintage where the vintage effect has no hold. The balance between the fruity expression and the smoky, sappy notes of ageing is skilfully measured. The flesh is full-bodied and velvety, the structure soft and silky. A delicious nectar that once again honors the Crus Bourgeois family. Delivery in wooden cases for orders of 12 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).

Expert opinion

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated 14.5/20 (Good wine)

Domain rated (2020 guide) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the wine:

Woody, supple and round, with a hint of bitterness.

About the domain :

This discreet 14-hectare château, located right next to Haut-Marbuzet on the same plateau, offers a fine representation of Saint-Estèphe terroirs. However, the high proportion of Merlot in the blends gives the wine a deliberately charming, flattering style.

A woody wine with tannins that are still very, if not too, present in 2021. The nose is diluted and doesn't allow us to find the red fruit we were expecting. Too expensive for the quality. Still rough on the palate. Deceiving

Nose: intense, elderberry, blackberry, blueberry, redcurrant, woody. Palate: cfr nose, fairly round, tannins still a little "raspy". 16-17/20. I'll drink the next one at the end of 2020 (fruit preserved, tannins more melted?).
