Château Petit Bocq
Château Petit Bocq has been owned by the Lagneaux family since 1983. Established in 1972 with just under two hectares, the vineyard now covers 18 hectares divided into more than 80 different plots, ideally located in the commune of Saint-Estèphe.

Château Petit Bocq cultivates vines in a reasoned way. Preventive or curative interventions are often necessary, but they are not systematic but adapted to needs. The soils are regularly scratched and aerated to preserve their microbial life. The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness, with Merlot sharing the limelight with Cabernet Sauvignon.

Each lot that has been harvested, vinified and matured separately finally finds the other components that make up the Château Petit Bocq a single, unique wine, particularly representative of its appellation and vintage. The wines of Château Petit Bocq are characterized by their aromatic complexity and pleasant mouthfeel. With excellent cellaring potential, they are already pleasant in their youth. All this is due to the fact that Petit Bocq is the fruit of multiple parcels, all of which will eventually be brought together in a single glass.

In 2010, Gaëtan Lagneaux decided to cultivate two plots in Pauillac: he produced Cuvée Lagneaux à Pauillac .

"A fine Saint-Estèphe at the right price!

"Purplish purple. Filigree, complex bouquet with notes of black berries, licorice wood and chocolate. On the palate, the wine is fruity, elegant and creamy. Full-bodied, with fine-grained tannins that reveal themselves slowly. Fruity, persistent finish. A great success and a wine with excellent ageing potential". "A great deal!"

"Medium garnet red. In addition to the woodiness, which appears first, I also detect fruity notes and spices. An inviting candied touch. The palate confirms the charming tendency, but there's more to it than that. The body is creamy, balanced, dense and perfectly supported by its tannins. The tannins go hand in hand with the acid structure , which lends breed and freshness. A promising wine. " (Yves Beck 2018) - Delivered in wooden cases for orders of 12 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).

Cité Hachette

"Very dense and built, with a woodiness that still dresses it up a little but which the material will absorb, the 2014 is a solid long-distance runner." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2017 - RVF) At this price, this Cru Bourgeois is THE real bargain in Saint-Estèphe!

2*Coup de Coeur Hachette

"Gaëtan Lagneaux will unfortunately not have had the pleasure of discovering this admirable wine, which is a superb tribute to his work. The deep black color of this 2012 sets the tone for the tasting: elegance and intensity. The bouquet is equally racy, revealing sustained aromas of ripe black and red fruits beneath a high-quality woody covering (cloves, cinnamon, toast). Full-bodied, fleshy, dense and very fruity, the palate is all restrained strength, backed by silky tannins and fine acidity that stretch the wine into a finish of rare length, generous and spicy. A great Pauillac for laying down ". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2016)
