Expert opinion
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Rated (2018 guide) 89/100 (Very good wine)
Domaine noté Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
Deep garnet-purple in color, Lalande-Borie 2016 offers notes of cassis, earth and spices on the nose, with hints of kirsch and tea. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, firm and grainy, with a lovely liveliness.
About the domain :
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (2020 guide) 17/20 + Coup de Coeur (Great wine)
Domaine noté (guide 2020) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the wine:
2016 remains the cru's benchmark, an intense, deep wine that expresses itself with aeration. The body is elegant and the finish is softly drawn out.
About the domain :
This well-situated estate in the Lalande terroir was created ex-nihilo in 1970 by Jean-Eugène Borie. It is now run by his son Bruno, who is also in charge of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou. The wines are exquisite, relatively easy to access and gourmet. Typical Saint Julien.

Wine rated (2019 guide) 92/100
Domaine noté Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Wine Enthusiast)
About the wine:
This elegant, well-balanced wine offers both structure and blackcurrant fruit. The central core shows the wine's potential, with its ripe flavors and great freshness on the finish.
