Domaine William Fèvre
Domaine William Fèvre, founded in the late 1950s by William Fèvre, a fervent defender of the historic terroirs and appellations of Chablis, was bought by the Henriot family group in 1998. Domaine William Fèvre continues to develop with a constant concern for producing wines of indisputable authenticity and quality, and above all, an unwavering determination to remain faithful to the terroir. All these efforts are carried out with a single goal in mind: to best express the most subtle variations of the best Chablis climates.

The Domaine William Fèvre vineyard is first and foremost an exceptional heritage that today covers 48 hectares, more than half of which are Premiers crus (12 hectares) and Grands crus (15.2 hectares) of Chablis. Domaine William Fèvre boasts the widest range of Grands Crus and benefits from ideal conditions for producing excellent wines, on a soil combining marl and Kimmeridgian clay limestone. The care lavished on the vines at Domaine William Fèvre and the know-how brought to the winery transcend Chardonnay, which here delivers an expression of great purity, between freshness and minerality.

"One of the House's best 1st growths, dynamic and persistent".

"Made from old vines from Les Minots (the source of the Fèvre massale selection), as well as properties located in Roncières and Chatains, the 2020 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons unfolds in the glass with notes of white flowers, crisp stone fruits and light honey. Medium- to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, this is a beautifully vibrant, racy wine that finishes with a long, penetrating finish. This is the best young Vaillons I've ever tasted from Fèvre." "A Chablis must-have, this Grand Cru is elegant and powerful.

"Les Preuses is a wine of rare natural elegance, with notes of pink grapefruit, sea salt and samphire. Still introverted, with restrained power, it impresses with the transparency of its flavors and the almost painful intensity of its finish". (Le Guide RVF 2023)

This pretty Saint-Bris perfectly expresses the grape variety from which it is made (100% Sauvignon) and the limestone soil of the appellation's plateaux. Intense and fresh on the nose, it is marked by notes of blackcurrant buds. The palate is fresh and silky, expressing itself with spontaneity. A wine of exquisite lightness!

Medium- to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, it's stretchy and dynamic, with tart notes, fine core depth and a long, sapid finish." (Wine Advocate 2020)

"The 2012 Chablis 1er Cru Vaulorent comes from the remaining 60-year-old vines which, according to Didier Seguier, raise the quality to the level of a Grand Cru. It presents a bouquet of very precise limestone and citrus aromas. The palate is crisp and fresh, very well balanced. There's a gradual increase in concentration towards a very taut finish, a little spicier than the Fourchaume. Excellent." (Wine Advocate 2014 - Robert Parker)
