Agnès Paquet - Chassagne-Montrachet Les Battaudes 2014
91/100
Robert Parker
The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Battaudes, grown on clay soils and aged 30% in new barrels, has a fragrant nose of white flowers, white peaches, and a hint of Japanese yuzu—all well-defined and nicely integrated with the wood. The palate is vibrant on the attack with crisp acidity, notes of orange peel and a hint of mulberry leaf. The acidity, well-judged and bringing a certain harmony and refinement to the finish, is almost reminiscent of a Premier Cru. Excellent." (Wine Advocate 2016 - Robert Parker)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2021 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Agnès Paquet produced her first vintage in Meloisey in 2001 on a family plot located in Auxey-Duresses. She has masterfully managed her estate, which now covers 12.5 hectares in Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, Auxey-Duresses, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Saint-Aubin, where the vines are intelligently cultivated according to organic principles. The whites are straightforward and refined, while the reds, partially vinified from whole clusters, are precise and delicious. Of particular note is the production of a house sparkling wine, made using traditional methods and produced exclusively from Aligoté grapes.

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate (2021 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About the estate:
It was to prevent the sale of her family's plot of land in Auxey-Duresses that Agnès Paquet, a business school graduate, chose to become a winemaker. She produced her first vintage in 2001. The style continues to favor frankness and freshness, which we greatly appreciate.
