About the domain :

Agnès Paquet vinified her first vintage at Meloisey in 2001 on a family plot in Auxey-Duresses. She has masterfully managed her estate, which now covers 12.5 hectares in Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, Auxey-Duresses, Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin, where the vines are intelligently tended according to organic principles. The whites are straightforward and chiselled, while the reds, vinified partly from whole bunches, are precise and full-bodied. Of particular note is the production of a house effervescent using the ancestral method, made exclusively with aligoté grapes.

About the wine:

Overlooking the village of Saint-Aubin, this south-facing climat of 5.24 ha takes its name from an old quarry from which thin slabs of limestone were extracted. Agnès Paquet has produced a wine from it that was cited last year, and acclaimed this year. We praise its limpid pale gold color, the mineral richness of its nose, which also exudes citrus fruit, white flowers and toasted hazelnut, and its elegant, taut palate of rare length. A remarkable expression of terroir and well-melted oak.

About the domain :

Agnès Paquet created her domaine in 2000 from a parcel acquired by her family in the 1950s. Based in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune region, she farms 9.5 ha of vines, most of which are in Melin, a hamlet of Auxey-Duresses. Organic conversion is underway.

About the domain :

It was to avoid the sale of her family's Auxey-Duresses parcel that Agnès Paquet, a business school graduate, chose to become a winemaker. She produced her first vintage in 2001. Her style is always frank and fresh, which we're delighted about.
