"Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, which tends to be the cru bottled the latest, comes from a parcel just below Château de la Tour. It has an elegant bouquet of black cherry, blackberry and dried violet that develops with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied, with fairly firm tannins on the attack. The clay really shows through on the powerful, playful finish and brings it the length, if not the finesse of other Clos de Vougeots of this vintage." (Wine Advocate 2013 - Robert Parker)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 17.5/20 (Reference wine)
Domaine rated (2018 guide) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the wine:
Very sappy, with a concentrated body that fills the mouth and radiates, this wine is still in the ardor of its youth.
About the domain :
Édouard Labruyère's enthusiasm and determination to position this estate as one of the world's great vintages is unmistakable. His efforts are evident in the vineyard, which has been organically farmed since 1997, in the cellar, where foudres and demi-muids have made their appearance since 2012, and, crucially, in the glass. With its exceptional range of Grands Crus from 22 hectares of vineyards, including 17 hectares in the Côte de Beaune and an exclusive representation of Grands Crus in the Côte de Nuits, this estate has all the attributes to join the elite of the domains Burgundy region.

About the wine:
The clos-vougeot appears elegant, with juicy fruit and a mouth that imposes a feeling of quiet strength; the woodiness is perfectly managed.
