"The Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2014 was harvested on September 18 and contains 20% whole bunches. Deep in color, it has an intense nose of blackberry and raspberry coulis. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly "hairy" tannins, straightforward, pure black cherry and raspberry fruit intermixed with white pepper and a touch of sage on the finish. A little austere but finishes with style." (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker)

Domaine rated (2022 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, because of their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the domain :

The house is now run by Frédéric Drouhin, supported by his sister Véronique for the wines and his brother Philippe in the vineyards. In July 2013, it opened an oenotheque in the heart of Beaune. It has found its cruising speed and is establishing itself as a safe bet. The house relies on a biodynamic vineyard particularly well endowed with great whites, in Côte-de-Beaune but also in Chablis (wines sold under the Drouhin-Vaudon brand), including the famous Clos des Mouches.
