Les Combes 2018 offers a fresh, airy, high-class nose, typical of the Côte de Nuits, with scents of black cherry and spice. Magnificent attack on the palate, which is velvety and ample, with a perfect balance between ripeness and acidity. Notes of black fruit, wild plums, bark, hazelnut, coffee, as well as hints of spice, incense, beeswax and dark chocolate, with still-firm tannins that will mellow with age... Superb!

About the domain :
More than a novelty, a rebirth. The return of this old house feels good. The man who has revived it is Laurent Delaunay. He is the founder's great-grandson, and has established himself as a benchmark for Languedoc pleasure wines in supermarkets. It's in Burgundy, on his home turf, that he once again displays the full extent of his talent and vision. We particularly recommend the nuits-saint-georges cuvées, vinified with extreme care and attention to tannin extraction, resulting in wines that are voluptuous and tender, yet always upright. The entire range is beyond reproach.

About the domain :
Laurent and Catherine Delaunay, founders of the Badet-Clément wine house in Nuits-Saint-Georges, have revived the Édouard Delaunay trading house, founded in 1893 by Laurent's great-grandfather. It offers a range of wines mainly from the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, from regional appellation to grand cru.
