Les Combes 2018 offre un nez frais et aérien, de grande classe, typique de la Côte de Nuits, avec des parfums de cerise noire et d'épices. Magnifique attaque en bouche, qui se montre veloutée et ample, avec un parfait équilibre entre maturité et acidité. On retrouve des notes de fruits noirs, prunes sauvages, écorce, noisette, café, ainsi que des touches d'épices, encens, cire d'abeille et chocolat noir, avec des tannins encore fermes qui se fondront avec le temps... Superbe !

Superb, fresh and airy, of great class, typical of the Côte de Nuits with black cherry and spice aromas.
Mouth
Magnificent attack, velvety, ample, perfect balance between maturity and acidity, notes of black fruits, wild plums, bark, hazelnut, coffee, touches of spices, incense, beeswax and dark chocolate, still firm tannins that will mellow with time.

About the domain :
More than a novelty, a rebirth. The return of this old house feels good. The man who has revived it is Laurent Delaunay. He is the founder's great-grandson, and has established himself as a benchmark for Languedoc pleasure wines in supermarkets. It's in Burgundy, on his home turf, that he once again displays the full extent of his talent and vision. We particularly recommend the nuits-saint-georges cuvées, vinified with extreme care and attention to tannin extraction, resulting in voluptuous, tender wines that are always upright. The entire range is beyond reproach.

Laurent and Catherine Delaunay, founders of the Badet-Clément wine house in Nuits-Saint-Georges, have revived the Édouard Delaunay trading house, founded in 1893 by Laurent's great-grandfather. It offers a range of wines mainly from the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, from regional appellation to grand cru.
