Maison Edouard Delaunay - Bourgogne Côte d'Or Pinot Noir 2018
89/100 Decanter
"A concentration of lush forest fruits and ripe berries with soft, silky tannins. A style well in tune with the times." (Decanter 2020)
Maison Edouard Delaunay - Bourgogne Chardonnay Septembre 2020
4/5 (1 review)
92/100 Decanter
-
16/20 Jancis Robinson
"Crafted by Laurent Delaunay's fifth generation, Septembre is a blend of about one-third Côte d'Or, Mâconnais (for richness) and Yonne (for freshness and mineral notes). A wine with lots of floral notes, while the palate is concentrated and complex, with a delicious combination of stone fruits cut by notes of lime zest. The lively acidity and stony finish make this a lovely entry-level Burgundy Chardonnay." (Decanter 2023)

"This wine is a perfect example of Nuits premier cru, with its relatively deep ruby color and pronounced aromas of blackcurrant and currant, with a hint of rose petals and a little smoke. The texture is supple and rather dense, with a long finish. This site north of the village, with octogenarian vines planted in clay soils, is subject to the windy influence of the combe, producing a classic Nuits profile." (Decanter 2022)
Maison Edouard Delaunay - Nuits-Saint-Georges Le Village Vieilles Vignes 2021

89-91/100 Inside Burgundy - Jasper Morris
"This wine receives special attention from Delaunay, and it delivers well on its promise, with a medium to deep garnet color, and pronounced blackberry fruit with smoky, mineral notes. The texture is tannic, but nothing rustic here, just exceptional fruit purity and length. It is blended from grapes purchased from Belle Croix, Les Longecourts and Aux Allots. In abundant years, the house often downgrades some of the premier cru barrels, but in 2021, it presents itself independently and quite effectively." (Decanter 2023)
Maison Edouard Delaunay - Savigny-lès-Beaune Le Village Vieilles Vignes 2019
88/100 Decanter
-
88-90/100 Inside Burgundy - Jasper Morris
A fine introduction to the red villages of the Côte de Beaune. This wine is particularly expressive, fresh and fruity, with magnificent ageing potential. On the palate, there are hints of spice and blueberry, with subtle oak and an almost saline finish. A well-balanced wine to keep!
Maison Edouard Delaunay - Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves rouge 2019
94/100 Wine Enthusiast
-
92/100 Wine Spectator
-
91-93/100 Inside Burgundy - Jasper Morris
"Aromas of ash, cut stone, white pepper and blackberry introduce this profound expression of Les Grèves, Beaune's largest premier cru appellation. Luscious, penetrating flavors of black cherry and plum make this a pleasantly sappy, spicy wine, marked by notes of vanilla, clove and camphor. Fresh acidity and fine, delicate tannins give it structure. At its peak between 2024 and 2030, this wine will keep for a long time to come." (Wine Enthusiast 2022)
Maison Edouard Delaunay - Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Crots 2020
94/100 Bettane & Desseauve
-
90-93/100 Inside Burgundy - Jasper Morris
"Black color, great substance, deep and noble fruit, very complex, on big black fruits but with a real mineral tension, long, racy, highly recommended." (Le Guide Bettane + Desseauve). Enjoy with a good fillet of beef!
Maison Edouard Delaunay - Côtes de Nuits-Villages Les Combes 2018
15,5/20 Bourgogne Aujourd'hui
Les Combes 2018 offers a fresh, airy, high-class nose, typical of the Côte de Nuits, with scents of black cherry and spice. Magnificent attack on the palate, which is velvety and ample, with a perfect balance between ripeness and acidity. Notes of black fruit, wild plums, bark, hazelnut, coffee, as well as hints of spice, incense, beeswax and dark chocolate, with still-firm tannins that will mellow with age... Superb!
Maison Edouard Delaunay - Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Charmont rouge 2021
The nose of this Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Charmont red is intense and bright, offering notes of cherry and truffle, with a touch of toasted bread. The aromatic complexity is impressive, with spicy and fruity notes, as well as hints of cigar, incense and bark. The palate is round, fresh and full, with tannins and acidity typical of Hautes-Côtes that "sizzle" on the palate, demonstrating the great ageing potential of this wine of character and freshness...
Maison Edouard Delaunay - Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Charmont blanc 2021
89/100 Bettane & Desseauve
-
89/100 James Suckling
Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Charmont blanc 2021 is very expressive and intense on the nose, with hints of nougatine and marron glacé, followed by green notes. The assertive minerality, combined with the fine woodiness, reveals scents of flint, gunflint and heather earth. On the palate, the attack is fresh, with good acidity and pastry aromas. There's also a fine salinity on the finish. This complex, long wine with a beautiful freshness will sublimate your "bouchées à la reine", with fish or otherwise...
Maison Edouard Delaunay - Bourgogne Aligoté La Vigne de Monsieur Feuillat 2020
89/100 Bettane & Desseauve
"Remarkable body and character that should be of interest to any serious connoisseur, in a use far exceeding that of a pleasant aperitif, exemplary saline and rising finish. A thousand times more interesting than the mediocre famous villages that are unfortunately bought by certain merchants". (Le Guide Bettane + Desseauve)
