Saint-Véran, Clos des Poncetys, with its bright yellow color and golden highlights, displays all its intensity with delicacy. Pineapple and mango aromas mingle with pear and peach notes with finesse and precision. The balance on the palate builds on the aromas detected on the nose, lengthening on the finish with a long, saline persistence. Gourmet finesse!

Situated at the heart of the estate, in a natural cirque, Clos des Poncetys enjoys an ideal southern exposure, sheltered by the Roche de Vergisson. Planted on deep clay-limestone soil, this vineyard is pruned in the small Mâconnais arch style and is 60 years old.

Nose
Reserved on the 1st nose, then precise and fine on exotic fruits with notes of pineapple, mango and completed by fine notes of fresh asparagus.
Mouth
Delicate, lacy, the sweet fruit aromas identified on the nose appear, the finish is long, precise and saline.

About the domain :
This estate, located in the heart of the best Davayé terroirs, is owned by the Lycée Viticole de Mâcon Davayé, and for some years now has been courageously practicing organic farming on no less than 16 hectares, mainly in the Saint-Véran appellation. The winemaking approach here has a major impact on the style of the wines, with very unadorned juices undergoing prolonged fermentation at low temperature. The result is a modern, seductive profile. Note a rare and more original production of reds, which we were unable to taste, and for the anecdote, some highly esteemed goat cheeses!

About the domain :
The Lycée Viticole de Mâcon-Davayé has been training winemakers from Burgundy and beyond for generations. The adjoining 16-hectare estate is farmed organically, and Frédéric Servais, the cellar master, aims to produce the most "natural" wines possible.
