"Saint-Véran 2022 comes from clay-limestone soils around Davayé, plus a few parcels in the hills. It was bottled early, in May 2023. The bouquet is well-defined and concentrated. It's a little laconic at first, with hints of apple blossom and a muscat scent in the background. The palate is well-balanced, with good density on entry, a slightly waxy texture, lemony citrus mingling with nutty, earthy notes on the finish. Very good." (Vinous 2023)

"The Saint-Véran 2022 has a well-defined floral bouquet, with buttercup and damp meadow scents unfolding in the glass. The palate is well balanced, with a mischievous opening and lively acidity. The style is classic and, in fact, blind (as it is), I would have thought this was a 2021 instead of a 2022. But it's still a well-made Saint-Véran that should age well. Clos des Poncetys seduces with its golden hue, and reveals a rich, delicate fruitiness on the nose. Aromas of pineapple, grapefruit and mango mingle with lightly herbaceous, charming notes.
