"A new cuvée from a south-facing site, Santenay Croix Sorine 2020 delivers aromas of sweet berries, cherries, licorice and loamy earth. Medium to full-bodied, fluid and charming, it's a generous, sensual wine that defies Santenay stereotypes. " (Wine Advocate 2022)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2023) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
Frédérick and Franck Buisson, whose family presence in the village dates back to the 12th century, represent the eighth generation of winemakers at this historic Saint-Romain estate. Ecocert-certified since 2012, they develop the most natural viticulture and oenology. The red wines, which still contain some whole bunches, offer a precise vision of their terroir that argues for the rediscovery of a Saint-Romain we haven't often seen at this level. The precise whites are not to be outdone.
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Rated (guide 2022) 90/100 (Wonderful wine)
Domaine noté (guide 2022) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
Notions of rich cherries, berries, loamy soil and bitter chocolate foreshadow the Saint-Romain Combe Bazin 2020, a medium- to full-bodied, lively and refined wine framed by powdery tannins and lively acids. This cuvée from younger vines is usually the most immediate red in the range, but in the 2020 vintage it seems to have acquired another dimension of seriousness.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine rated (guide 2023) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
Frédéric, winemaker, and Franck, salesman, manage one of the largest estates in the southern Côte de Beaune. Certified organic since 2009, they will be switching to biodynamic viticulture in 2018. For ten years, they had already been following the lunar calendar for their bottling. Serious work in the vineyard and cellar enables them to produce deep, racy wines that age well. This is an estate that perfectly showcases the Saint-Romain appellation in both red and white wines, which are fine, precise and elegant. A range of wines that richly deserve their first star.
