This Vosne-Romanée reveals a great diversity of aromas: morello cherry, nutmeg, camphor wood, fine leather... and later, the aroma of truffles, for a quite astonishing whole. A perfect balance on the palate between tannins and acidity, a powerful, very long finish, a very harmonious richness, for a great Burgundy... A must!

About the domain :
The house is now run by Frédéric Drouhin, supported by his sister Véronique for the wines and his brother Philippe in the vineyards. In July 2013, it opened an oenotheque in the heart of Beaune. It has found its cruising speed and is establishing itself as a safe bet. The house relies on a biodynamic vineyard particularly well endowed with great whites, in Côte-de-Beaune but also in Chablis (wines sold under the Drouhin-Vaudon brand), including the famous Clos des Mouches.

A wine that doesn't live up to its promise. 2011 was not a year for ageing: I've just tasted it and it's already lacking substance.
