Gault & Millau
"The nose seems discreet, with hints of kirsch. The palate is greedy, fruity, rich and velvety. The fatness of this cuvée will coat a red fruit chantilly or, in another register, a Basque cheese accompanied by black cherries." (Le Guide Gault & Millau) This Champagne rosé is produced on the basis of the brut selection, to which is added 12% Bouzy rouge, a Coteaux Champenois Grand Cru. Enjoy with fruit-based desserts.

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
Located in the hills above Épernay, the Janisson-Baradon estate is run by Richard Janisson and his two sons Maxence and Cyril. The vineyard comprises 9 hectares of slopes surrounding the champagne capital, carefully and attentively tended. The Janissons have cleverly modernized the style of their wines, and this year again, parcel selections dominated the tasting, with champagnes of assertive character that retain the suppleness of the sector. A sure bet.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2023) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
Located in the hills above Épernay, this estate was founded in 1922 by a winemaker and a cooper, and is now run by their descendants, Maxence and Cyril Janisson, the former in charge of management, the latter in charge of the vineyard and cellar. The brothers have over 9 ha of vines. HVE-certified property.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Rated 90/100
Domaine rated 1*Star (Serious production)
About the wine:
The nose seems discreet, with hints of kirsch. The palate is greedy, fruity, rich and velvety. The richness of this cuvée will coat a red fruit chantilly or, on a different note, a Basque cheese with black cherries.
About the domain :
Founded in 1922 by Georges Baradon, a remueur, and his son-in-law, Maurice Janisson, a cooper, the estate is still run by the Janisson family, who cultivate just over 9 hectares of vines on the western slopes of Épernay, in Chouilly and Brimont. The vineyards have been tilled since 1997, without the use of weedkillers. Most cuvées are a blend of pinot noir and chardonnay, in equal proportions.

Au bonheur des dames...and damoiselles. Discreet, slightly oxidized nose. BSA, with a frank start, on the fruit - pinot strawberry a little - and the roundness brought by malolactic fermentation. The winey, voluminous character is softened by a hint of saltiness and bitterness on the finish. Drink quickly. At 10°, this brut rosé is a good aperitif, but also glamorous with a strawberry/white chocolate log.3.6 rating.

As age takes its toll, the wine takes on a rather pronounced sappy character, reminiscent in some ways of Savagnins. A lovely, long frame accompanies the nose. It's nice

Disappointed by its attack, too tense for a rosé...

"A true Champagne from winemakers" I haven't tasted it yet, just to point out that NM = Négociant manipulant, that's not a vigneron! I drank it, decent champagne
