About the domain :
This beautiful cellar with its ultra-modern facilities just outside Reims operates with the rigor and seriousness of a house, which is reflected in the care given to the range. Supplies are sourced from the northern sectors of the Montagne de Reims, which is reflected in the straightforwardness of the cuvées, from the successful blanc de blancs to the Solera rosé, made from an original solera of red wine, giving it an inimitable cachet. The vintages age here to perfection, and are brought back to market after a few more years in the cellar.

About the wine:
The Perle Blanche Chardonnay is in fine form in this consistent cuvée. It's ripe, with sweet nuances of yellow apple, white peach and walnut oil, on a clean, lively palate that's slightly smoky with reductive notes, but quite juicy and shows a lick of pineapple. A fine example of Chardonnay.

About the domain :
Champagne Palmer & Co is an offshoot of the Société Coopérative des Grands Crus de la Champagne, based in Avize since 1947. The Palmer & Co brand was created the following year, in 1948. The founders were seven winegrowers with vineyards in the premier and grand crus of the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. The cooperative moved to Reims in 1959, and began to open up to other vineyards such as Sézannais and the Riceys region. By the 1980s, the symbolic milestone of one million bottles of champagne had been reached.

NV Brut Blanc de Blancs has a very discreet nose, offering only light notes of corn flour and wheat bread. The palate, with its vigorous mousse, is lively, but brings lemony touches to an essentially taut, bright body, resulting in a classic, vibrant, slender wine with a real sense of tension and sobriety. Classic, without ostentation, but which does what it says. Very pleasant. Dosage is 6.5 g/l. Disgorged: August 2021.
