James Suckling
"A harmonious, perfectly balanced cuvee for the pleasure of the moment!
"This Brut is once again a true classic! Brioche nose, open but fine. Fresh on the palate, with a present but well-integrated dosage and toasty notes testifying to prolonged ageing on lees. Fresh red fruit character, its structure reflects its 50% Pinot Noir content. The finish is lively and creamy. A real return to the forefront for this historic house. It has everything you'd expect from a Brut sans année d'apéritif, balanced, tangy, gourmand and energetic, with a price tag that remains soft." (La Revue du Vin de France 2024)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2025) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the domain :
The patient work carried out by the house's teams since Christopher Descours took over the brand in 2011 has paid off brilliantly. Its young cellar master, Émilien Boutillat, is very talented at ensuring continuity of style, and spares no effort to give even greater homogeneity to a range that clearly displays its gastronomic ambitions. While the Brut sans année still needs to gain in depth, the rest of the range has now reached a remarkable level of precision, particularly in the highly recommendable Essentiel collection.

About the domain :
The Descours family, who have owned the house since 2011, are constantly striving to put it back on the quality track. Cellar master Émilien Boutillat strives to maintain a fresh style, while developing the depth and length of the wines. While the brut sans année remains very consensual, with its generous dosage, the other champagnes presented this year are fair and stretched.

Wine rated (guide 2024) 90/100
About the wine:
A fruity, playful brut champagne. On the nose, aromas of apple and pear tart follow through to a medium body with medium bubbles. Supple, fruity and refreshing. Drink now.
