Produced from old vines planted in alluvium and rolled pebbles, this Porcellese VV 2014 presents a floral, fruity definition between peony, spices, garrigue underlined by the smoky side. Dense and concentrated on the palate. No extraction to favor the expression of fruit and terroir. Great depth and fine tannins characterize this classy red.

Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the domain :
This gifted winemaker generates a great deal of enthusiasm among wine lovers, but we don't always understand it in the wines we taste. Many seem too heavy, or lack purity and finesse despite their solid substance. Every now and then, a dazzling wine, usually a white, restores our confidence.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated (2016 guide) 17/20 (Grand vin)
Domaine rated (2021 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, because of their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
After working as a vineyard manager at Domaine Leccia, Nicolas Mariotti Bindi took over an old, abandoned winery on the road to Oletta in 2015. He put in a lot of hard work to get the winery back on its feet, enabling him to better manage his production and work by gravity. The vineyard is certified organic and the soils are worked according to the rules of the art. Vinification is carried out in stainless steel vats and 16 hl œuf-cement tanks. These wines, always full-bodied and velvety, offer great openness of flavor and are delicious when young, but also know how to age. Their high quality and unfailing consistency have earned the estate its second star this year.
