Bodegas Familia Navascues
Founded in 2002, the Bodegas Familia Navascués family project is run by Jorge and Jesús Navascués, winemakers and oenologists from a family that has been producing wine in the region for over three generations. Their mission is to restore the land of Cariñena to its former glory by highlighting the finesse and purity of the terroir through high-quality wines. This passionate project focuses on indigenous varieties and the authentic expression of terroir.

The vineyards of Bodegas Familia Navascués, located in Almonacid de la Sierra (in the heart of Aragon) are part of the DO Cariñena. The family cultivates these lands with the utmost respect for the environment and sustainability. Over the years, they have expanded their estate with Grenache, Carignan and Macabeu vines aged between 50 and 70 years, making a point of expressing the grape varieties and their origins purely and directly.

Today, the Almonacid de la Sierra region is synonymous with the finest Aragonese wines, whose personality is influenced by the "Cierzo", a violent Spanish wind feared by many winemakers, but essential to Bodegas Familia Navascués. Local conditions, including the Cierzo storm, clay-limestone and loam soils and steep slopes, give the wines their distinctive mineral aroma.

"A succulent value for money produced by the renowned Jorge Navascues, a 91 for the Wine Advocate and a 92 for James Suckling!"

"It's legible and fruity, with a floral note and less ripeness than previous vintages despite the year's natural conditions (it feels like a fresh vintage!). Juicy, primary and fresh, with clarity and balance. A bargain." (Wine Advocate 2023)
