Bodega Vina Magana is an emblematic Navarrese estate, established in 1961 and located in the southernmost tip of the region, and a major contributor to the DO Navarra. The Magana brothers revolutionized this denomination by betting on the introduction of French grape varieties, at the time unauthorized, and the cultivation of old Merlot vines, among the oldest in Spain, alongside Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon. The extreme care taken in the cultivation and vinification of Bodega Vina Magana's vintages, thanks to family know-how, has helped propel the bodega's DO Navarra wines to international prominence, bringing with it a strong appreciation of the whole denomination outside Spanish borders.
