Dominio de Pingus
In 1994, agricultural engineer Peter Sisseck discovered 4 hectares of extremely old vines in the Ribera Del Duero. Since then, they have been used exclusively for the production of the mythical " Dominio de Pingus ". This parcel-based cuvée, the fruit of vines over 80 years old with very low yields (11 hl/ha), is vinified according to a non-interventionist logic that Peter imposed as soon as he joined the company. Dominio de Pingus. The great age of Dominio de Pingus and massal selection help tame the volcanic character of the Tempranillo grape, resulting in wines of remarkable finesse, complexity and charm.

"A double 100/100 from the Wine Advocate and James Suckling for this vintage, which ranks among the best wines in the world, an exceptional vintage!

"Violet, flint, graphite, dark chocolate, ink pot and herbal notes like tarragon. Black truffles. Tar and sandalwood notes. Black tea. Medium-bodied, with very linear, tight, polished tannins and a fine, silky texture. Endless and flawless. Deep and absolute. Superb structure and balance." "A Tempranillo of incredible finesse and elegance, sublimated by Peter Sisseck!"

"Flor de Pingus 2021 comes from several vineyards in La Horra, Ribera del Duero, and has spent 18 months in French oak barrels. It is purple in color. Complex, subtle aromas include sour cherry and blueberry interwoven with rose, herbs and garrigue. On the palate, it's dry and velvety, with a balanced chalky character, quite intense, not very fresh but very energetic. This is a distinctive and delicious red that reflects a modern approach to Ribera." (Vinous 2023)

"A Ribera del Duero with the typical expression of an exceptional terroir: precise and tasty!

"PSI 2021 is 90% Tempranillo and 10% Garnacha from old vines planted on limestone soils and has been aged for up to 16 months in mostly large French oak barrels. In the glass, it is garnet-red with a slight purple hue. The nose offers notes of blood, sour cherry and blackberry, intermixed with violet and dried flowers, resulting in a complex, layered profile. The palate is dry and velvety. Chalky tannins define a compact palate and persistent fruity and floral flavors. The 2021 is a distinctive Ribera del Duero with excellent nuance and agility." " ... The wine is subtle and harmonious, elegant and insinuating, with all the components of a very good balance. It's precise and pure; Sisseck is meticulous and meticulous, and the wine shows that precision. It follows the line of the 2016, very good even though it was only bottled a month before tasting." (Wine Advocate 2021)
