"... The wine is subtle and harmonious, elegant and insinuating, with all the components of a very good balance. It is precise and pure; Sisseck is meticulous and thorough, and the wine shows this precision. It follows in the footsteps of the 2016, which was very good even though it was only bottled a month before tasting." (Wine Advocate 2021)

About wine:

I was eagerly awaiting the bottled version of Pingus 2018 after an excellent presentation of the barrel sample last year. Part of the wine matured in 20,000-liter oak barrels, so it's not all barrel-aged. This is the first time they have used vats, and based on the results, Sisseck believes that in the future, Pingus will be around 50% oak vats. The Pingus vines were planted in 1929 in two different areas of the village of La Horra, Barroso and San Cristobal, and contain about 2% other varieties. The vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic and are maintained like few other vineyards in Spain. The wine is subtle and harmonious, elegant and insinuating, with all the components of a very good balance. It is precise and pure; Sisseck is meticulous and thorough, and the wine shows this precision. It follows the line of the 2016, very good even though it was only bottled a month before tasting. 9,300 bottles were produced in August 2020.

About wine:

Very fragrant and aromatic with notes of blackberry, cherry, blueberry, and fresh flowers such as violet. Full-bodied with a tight, structured, and finely cut tannin profile and a long, precise finish. Refined and linear. Good length. Best after 2023.
