Bodega Enate
Bodega Enate is the queen of Somontano. A temple to wine and art since 1984, the new facilities were designed by architect Jesús Manzanares in 1991. Working in ecological agriculture, the estate's team takes extreme care to accompany all the varieties present throughout the vineyard, which covers the three valleys of the appellation.

Jesús Artajona (see photo) is the bodega's oenologist. He studied oenology in Bordeaux (and at Château Margaux). Jesús Sese, co-founder of the Bodega, is in charge of vineyard management. The Bodega Enate vineyard covers 500 hectares, planted with varieties such as Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah for reds, and Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer for whites. The size of the estate is explained by the very low planting density (3 m between rows). Extreme care is taken with ecological cultivation, and harvesting is done by hand to preserve the quality of the grapes.

Bodega Enate 's red blends bring out the varietal character and aromatic power of the grape varieties used. An exploration of the range is highly recommended for wine lovers to discover the expression of Somontano's character and diversity.

Bodega Enate 's reds are expressive, with a strong Spanish and Somontano character. The bodega's whites are elegant and expressive; they have made the bodega's reputation and are always enthusiastically received by critics when they are released each year, especially the exceptional Chardonnay UNO.

"Tapas", a name that immediately evokes the conviviality that surrounds these appetizers of Spanish origin. This cuvée fulfills its role perfectly. Made from Tempranillo grapes, with a touch of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, this Somontano Tapas is very expressive, greedy and flattering on the nose. An entry-level wine recommended for aficionados curious to discover the expression of Somontano's character and diversity... A fun wine where the first glass calls for the second!

Bodega Enate is a veritable temple to wine and art. The vineyards are farmed ecologically , and great care is taken in ageing the wines, including this 2003 Réserva, a fruity, powerful 100% Cabernet-Sauvignon with a fleshy mouthfeel and ripe tannins, making it the most Spanish of the Reservas de Somontano !
