Bodega Senorio de Barahonda
Bodega Senorio de Barahonda was founded in 1925 by Pedro Candela, a family estate now run by brothers Antonio and Alfredo Candela. Within the Yecla DO, the bodega has always distinguished itself for its elegant work with grape varieties such as Mourvèdre. In fact, it's one of the few bodegas in the world capable of producing 6 cuvées rated above 90 by Robert Parker in the same year, while maintaining very affordable prices for the general public.

The Bodega Senorio de Barahonda vineyard comprises some 545 hectares of DO Yecla vines, masterfully managed by the brilliant oenologist Araceli González, a pioneer in the Yecla region, whose vinifications give rise to highly individual wines, in a style that is modern, fresh and lively, and combines in perfect harmony with a certain seductive classical note. Great DO Yecla wines to discover.

93/100 Robert Parker

"Campo Arriba 2014 comes from one of Yecla's highest plots. It's a blend of Mourvèdre, Syrah and Grenache, aged for 3 months in French oak barrels. Founded in 1925 by the Candela family, this bodega has truly reached new heights with this excellent value for money. Blackberries, blueberries, acacia flowers and chalky minerality dominate the bouquet. A full-bodied wine at a ridiculously low price for this quality, we suppose it could age for 5-6 years, even its true value lies in its exuberance, purity of fruit and density." "A wonderful bargain!" (Robert Parker). This 100% Mourvèdre is impressively fruity, with explosively fresh aromas and lovely tension. The acidity is perfect, balancing the wine while accompanying the very pleasant tannins, the house signature. A gourmet wine with real pleasure on the palate!

"The Barahonda Roble 2008 presents notes of smoke and lightly roasted herbs, accompanied by incense, lavender, blackberry and blueberry compote make this complex bouquet literally leap out of the glass. Structurally sound and luscious on the palate, it's a lovely gift cut for pleasure that will give complete satisfaction over the next 5-6 years. It's extraordinary value for money ".
