Robert Parker

"Campo Arriba 2014 comes from one of Yecla's highest plots. It's a blend of Mourvèdre, Syrah and Grenache, aged for 3 months in French oak barrels. Founded in 1925 by the Candela family, this bodega has truly reached new heights with this excellent value for money. Blackberries, blueberries, acacia flowers and chalky minerality dominate the bouquet. A full-bodied wine at a ridiculously low price for this quality, we suppose it could age for 5-6 years, even its true value lies in its exuberance, purity of fruit and density." (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker)

Good quality wine. Black fruit aromas with a vanilla finish. Don't hesitate to decant a good 2 hours before drinking, so as not to be assaulted by its power. May age further.

Wood, vanilla, caramel and tagada strawberry. A caricature of Spanish wine. What a joke.

Not at all pleasant, raspy wine. Parker's rating is completely inadequate.

Disappointing for this heavy, powerful wine whose alcohol quickly gets to your head. Lacks finesse. Surprisingly high Parker score.

Pretty ruby color Nose of morello cherries and ripe fruit - reminded me of its Italian cousin, amarone. Spanish wine from the Yecla region made from Monastrell, Syrah and Tintorera grapes. Still a little tannic on the palate, it's not bad now and will be even better in a couple of years. Good balance, smooth finish Good value for money
