"Boccadigabbia is one of my favorite Marche estates. In 2009, Rosso Piceno is a solid wine for its price. Sweet black fruits, tobacco flowers, licorice and crushed stone melt together in the glass. Very disappointed by this wine, not much on the nose and very hard on the palate. I'm keeping my last bottle, just to see if it will be better in a year or two....I'm not thrilled with the Italian wines offered on a one-day wine, whereas the Spanish wines are much better RQP.
