"This is an intense, full-bodied but very well-balanced and refined red, with velvety, firm, caressing tannins. Ripe black plums, blueberries, chocolate, mocha, sweet spices and dried lavender. Some oyster shells too. A complex, characterful wine. Creamy at the end thanks to smooth tannins. 26% Syrah, 24% Cabernet franc, 23% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, 4% Sangiovese and 2% Grenache. Made from biodynamically grown grapes. Drink from 2026. (James Suckling 2022). Delivery in wooden cases for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).

About the wine:
Caiarossa 2019 is a complex blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, Syrah and Alicante from vineyards on this magnificent estate in the high hills of the Tuscan coast. This organic and biodynamic wine is full and generous on the palate, but never feels heavy or overly concentrated. The wine is balanced and fresh, with notes of black fruit, crushed stone, tobacco and exotic spices.
