Pieropan Estate

Domaine Pieropan, founded in 1880, is a family-run winery located in the medieval village of Soave, in the Veneto region. Four generations have contributed to making the estate the living emblem of the region's great wines.

In the heart of the Soave Classico appellation, Domaine Pieropan produces white wines from the autochthonous Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave grapes. Domaine Pieropan's 36-hectare vineyard is planted on soils composed mainly of volcanic rock, tuff and basalt.

For the past ten years, Domaine Pieropan has also been producing great red wines, with its highly-regarded Amarones and Valpolicella Ruberpan, favored by the international press for their extremely fine, precise style. These Domaine Pieropan wines impress with their singular personality, elegance and balance.

"Grandiose and impressive according to one of our customers 1jour1vin !"

"Amarone della Valpolicella 2017 blossoms in the glass with a blend of cherry compote and sweet herbs, complemented by cocoa and clove. It expands on the palate with velvety textures contrasted by zesty acidity and tart wild berries, revealing itself to be more savory than sweet and decidedly spicy. The 2017 remains incredibly long, blending bitter notes of dried orange peel with licorice and pretty inner flowers. Despite being the fruit of a warm vintage, this wine is beautifully harmonious from start to finish." (Vinous 2023)

"Taste this Italian white wine from an ancestral volcanic terroir that gives it astonishing aromas!"

"Crystalline and concentrated, this vintage of Calvarino magnifies the distinct aromas of Soave's volcanic soil with notes of smoke and gunflint. As the wine opens, aromas of lemon oil, white peach, jasmine and green apple skin rise from the glass. The wine feels velvety in the glass, with vertical and horizontal flavors filling the mouth while fresh acidity lifts the palate. The flavors reflect the palate with the addition of a hint of marzipan and finish with an energy that hints at the wine's aging capacity." (Wine Enthusiast 2024)

"An Italian cuvée that has captured the soul of Soave according to Wine Enthusiast!"

"Every year, Pieropan captures the soul of Soave, Garganega and vintage in a way so pure it leaves us breathless. This vintage shines with aromas of Fuji pear, Anjou apple, lemon blossom and gunflint. The palate is lively, with flavors of green apple peel and lemon zest that give way to toasted almonds, acacia honey and a minerality so deep you'd think you were in a quarry. Drink now or until 2040. (Wine Enthusiast 2024)

"Recioto di Soave Classico Le Colombare 2009 is an exceptional sweet wine, made from the finest selection of sun-dried Garganega grapes. The wine is superbly silky in texture and delivers sublime aromas of apricot, honey, candied fruit and broken rock that bring energy and dynamism. Pair this wine with an aged Pecorino with honey or orange marmalade." (Wine Advocate 2014 - Robert Parker)
