With its brilliant ruby color, this Valpolicella Superiore Ruberpan reveals a nose of fruity notes reminiscent of cherry and strawberry. The palate is complex and fruity, with a pleasant spicy character. A red that also has great ageing potential... A must-try!

Attractive color, spicy nose, hint of aniseed and saffron. On the palate, power rivals finesse. This wine, which I underestimated on first tasting, has largely lost its fruitiness, which is now resolutely replaced by spices: aniseed and even a touch of menthol. Perfectly suited to a mature piece of Charolais! Would be interesting to try with pheasant accompanied by a lightly creamed jus. Good length.
