Domaine Rolet
Domaine Rolet Père & Fils was founded in the 1940s and has handed down its know-how from generation to generation, to the great benefit of the Arbois wines it produces. The Domaine Rolet is one of the jewels in the crown of the Jura vineyard, where noble grape varieties flourish: Chardonnay, the basis of Jura white wines, Savagnin, the grape variety of the highly prestigious Vin Jaune, Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir, a group of highly renowned grape varieties.

Today, the Domaine Rolet is shared between 3 families who wish to perpetuate the tradition: the Devillard family (winegrowers in Burgundy for 5 generations and owners of Château de Chamirey in Mercurey, Domaine des Perdrix in Côte de Nuits, Domaine de la Ferté in Givry and Domaine de la Garenne in the Mâconnais); the Dupuis family and the Flambert family.

Combining tradition and modernity, Domaine Rolet brings out the full richness of the terroir on 65 hectares of vines, through a wide range of production in the Arbois and Côtes du Jura appellations: Whites, Rosés, Reds, Vin-Jaune, Vin de Paille, Marc Macvin and Crémants.

"Bubbles of pleasure to be (re)discovered!

"Apart from the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that make up this blend, everything else is typically Jura. This Crémant has hints of yeast, tight, tangy acidity, and a perfume of orange blossom. It's ready to enjoy. (Wine Enthusiast 2021)

"A great Jura wine, an absolute delight for the discerning wine lover!

"The excellent Vin Jaune Arbois 2016 hits the bull's-eye on every level. Hay, dried flowers, walnuts and bread dough mingle with accents of saffron and curry. Full-bodied and concentrated, yet meticulously balanced by sharp acidity, this complex 2016 finishes long and flavorful." (Vinous 2024)

"Taste the typical Trousseau grape variety

"Of the three 2022 reds presented, our clear preference is for the Trousseau, a clear, highly expressive wine with irresistible, piquant fruit, between raspberry and wild strawberry, with no trace of ageing." (Le Guide RVF 2025)

"A fine expression of Côtes du Jura".

"A comparison of the two Tradition cuvees (same Savagnin/Chardonnay blend, same ageing protocol) is highly instructive. Both wines show a very personal style: the Arbois is more powerful, broader, more golden, richer and more marked by the taste of sail, but less refined; the Côtes du Jura is more timid at first, but finer and more elegant". This wine has a bright, limpid, silvery-yellow color, with aromas of white flowers and quince on the nose. Lively attack with good tension on the palate, pleasant length with notes of dried fruit, honey and citrus peel. An elegant, straightforward profile to enjoy on any occasion.

"Cherry-colored, with a fine nose of kirsch, morello cherry, sweet almond and spices. The dynamic palate makes fruit its leitmotiv. Pleasant, fresh and homogeneous". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2021)

Domaine Rolet - Arbois Vin de Paille 2015 (37,5 cl)

A very pretty Vin de Paille, dominated by candied fruit on the nose, enhanced by delicious notes of dried fruit, fig, apricot, quince... It offers great concentration, a hint of vivacity and good persistence on the palate. The wine is a "peacock's tail", and will delight the most demanding connoisseurs.

"Chardonnay and Savagnin link up harmoniously, offering a great saline juice, long, engaging, with beautiful complexity." (Le Guide des Vins Bettane & Desseauve 2019) Beautiful volume and typicity brought by the Savagnin, balanced by the tension and minerality of the Chardonnay. A superb introduction to the typicity of Jura wines!

This "Expression du Terroir" cuvée is a concentrate of savoir-faire. The nose reveals notes of dried fruit and minerality, which are echoed on the fresh, round and elegant palate. The walnut finish is a further reminder of the Jura style so mastered by Domaine Rolet.

Cité Hachette

(2013 vintage notes)

This 100% Chardonnay is given a nice fatness thanks to barrel vinification and ageing. The graininess of the wood ageing adds slightly roasted notes to this floral profile. A lively, mineral finish.

Domaine Rolet - Arbois Tradition 2011

Domaine Rolet produces a red Tradition from Jura grape varieties: Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir. Aged in casks, it develops complex, balanced aromas of red fruit with a subtle woodiness. A fine first impression.

A beautiful Arbois, with a brilliant old gold color and a fine, complex nose combining notes of almond and walnut. A wine that coats the palate, where the Savagnin, extremely present, confirms the aromas of green walnut and almond. A bottle with complex flavors and great finesse, a must-discover!

A powerful Arbois with rich, mature notes, lots of minerality and spice, and a delicate vanilla note. A Savagnin in its original form and personality, with minerality, freshness and an empyreumatic side... An astonishing wine!
