"Third Favorite in a row for the estate with its Syrah and Cabernet-Sauvignon blend, which form a powerful duo here. The word "Marin" is used here to describe a fresh breeze that moderates the natural power of perfectly ripe fruit. Very fruity, barely marked by wood (15% of the blend), the nose enchants with its blossoming fruit of cherry, red berry and forest berry. Full-bodied, round and supported by melting tannins, the palate releases its crisp fruit notes tinged with a gourmet touch of vanilla, with freshness and without any softness. Sensual and fleshy, this beautiful wine offers a delicious compromise between maturity and vigor. The jury bows before such grace " (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020)

About the domain :
Just a stone's throw from the city of Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi, Ch. de Paretlongue was founded in the 12th century by the canons of Carcassonne on the site of a Gallo-Roman villa, then passed through the hands of several noble owners. Purchased in 1872 by the Auzias family, wine merchants, it is now run by their descendants, Nathalie and Dominique Auzias, who have enlarged the estate to 160 ha in a single block.

Little aroma, lots of alcohol. Rarely satisfied with Hachette stars...

A very pleasant fruity nose and a long finish are revealed after decanting, which is essential for revealing this potential.

Good wine, but not worth the 3* Hachette in my opinion.

rather disappointed by this wine, which I didn't find at all pleasant to taste. Perhaps we should wait a little longer?

Distinguished by aggressive alcohols that overpower weak aromas. Corks of dubious quality, to be watched.
