Cabardès
The Cabardès appellation, located near the city of Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi, is a singularity in the Languedoc region. Its geographical location is at the crossroads of Mediterranean and Atlantic influences, offering mildness on the one hand and humidity on the other. Situated on hillsides (100 to 350 m altitude) in the foothills of the Montagne Noire, the soils are made up of heat-retaining limestone pebbles, followed by gneiss, schist and granite. Another singularity is the high proportion of Bordeaux grape varieties blended with the traditional Grenache and Syrah. Red wines account for the majority of production (85%), followed by rosés (15%). The wine profile is concentrated, aromatic and complex, expressing notes of garrigue, black fruit and licorice.

"A must for this Cabardès at an irresistible pleasure price!"

"The must-have of the year in Cabardès, earning its author his first Favorite and top marks. What made it so popular? The "very typical Cabardès" nose, with its accent of fresh black fruit, sprinkled with cocoa and spices, and the charming palate, caressing on the attack, smoothly extracted, full of cherry and enhanced by finely chiselled tannins. It exudes elegance and good taste. Simply perfect. (Le Guide Hachette 2025).

Domaine de Cazaban - Les Petites Rangées 2018

15/20 RVF

(Notes vintage 2017)

Without artifice, Les Petites rangées is a wine of expressive fruit, with a suave texture, marked by a natural structure, resulting from its Syrah-Cabernet franc blend. A cuvée that highlights the Cabardès terroir without being overly showy. A fine introduction to this Languedoc appellation with Bordeaux accents!

14,5/20 Bettane & Desseauve

"Third Favorite in a row for the estate with its Syrah and Cabernet-Sauvignon blend, which form a powerful duo here. The word "Marin" is used here to describe a fresh breeze that moderates the natural power of perfectly ripe fruit. Very fruity, barely marked by wood (15% of the blend), the nose enchants with its blossoming fruit of cherry, red berry and forest berry. Full-bodied, round and supported by melting tannins, the palate releases its crisp fruit notes tinged with a gourmet touch of vanilla, with freshness and without any softness. Sensual and fleshy, this beautiful wine offers a delicious compromise between maturity and vigor. The jury bows before such grace " (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020)
