"The 2017 Corbières La Madone is a 60-40 blend of Grenache and Syrah that was co-fermented and then aged for a year in barrel. Plums and vanilla mark the nose, leading to a full-bodied, creamy wine that's supple to the touch. It's undeniably modern, but hard to resist, as waves of ripe fruit and subtle oak flood the palate and linger on the velvety finish[...]" (Wine Advocate 2020)

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (guide 2023) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the domain :

The ideal house for those who want to discover good Languedoc wines faithful to their terroir. Jérôme Joseph and Laurent Calmel are wine merchants without a winery. They mature their selected cuvées with the winegrowers from whom they buy them, respecting the flavors and terroirs of their origins. A wide gourmet range with many successful wines and a few stunning surprises.
