About the wine:
Based on old Grenache and Carignan vines, the Costa Gaoude cuvée has more substance and refinement. The 2012 version is admirable, all delicacy, with a velvety mouthfeel entirely at the service of fruit nuances.
About the domain :
Mas Haut-Buis is first and foremost an exceptional high-altitude site, nestled some 650 meters above sea level between garrigue, olive and almond trees. The 14 hectares are made up of no fewer than twelve separate plots. Olivier Jeantet, who settled here in 1999, is a self-taught winemaker who quickly grasped the secrets of the trade and the exacting standards required to produce great wines of character, reflecting the tension and uprightness of the Terrasses du Larzac. A heritage of old vines, hard work in the vineyard, ageing in large containers and meticulously thought-out blends have enabled this estate to become one of the appellation's leading names.
