About the domain :
Since the 1970s, this certified organic estate has been one of the jewels in the appellation's crown, appearing in the Guide with unfailing regularity. Boasting a magnificent terroir of 70 small schist parcels (58 ha) that sculpt the landscape, today it benefits from the know-how of the younger generation, inherited from grandfather Jean and father Bernard Vidal, both former presidents of the appellation.

Note and review by M. GILLES D. Published on 11/06/2022
This cuvee is a welcome reminder that there are still some fine wines to be made from schist terroir that valiantly reflect old Carignan. From the outset, the wine descends into a deep, very deep environment to encounter a high density and complexity of black fruits, very black, ripe, very ripe, almost saturated, and earthy notes that envelop the palate and linger. Back to the surface at last, with just the right amount of tonicity for a superb long finish with a hint of minerality on a carpet of powerful, juicy tannins that are still a little firm. That's an understatement for this 2020, which has only just begun to show its amiable side, and whose best will be to come in two or three years' time. With a little more finesse, it could become a wine for purists. Enjoy at 16° with barbecued Cévennes lamb kebabs, accompanied by a small aligot.
