About the domain :
Since the 1970s, this certified organic estate has been one of the jewels in the appellation's crown, appearing in the Guide with unfailing regularity. Boasting a magnificent terroir of 70 small schist parcels (58 ha) that sculpt the landscape, today it benefits from the know-how of the younger generation, inherited from grandfather Jean and father Bernard Vidal, both former presidents of the appellation.

A stunning Faugères to brighten your summer evenings. Admittedly, it's simple and unadorned, as the technique is behind the scenes, but nevertheless so fresh, redoubling in suppleness and brimming with perfectly ripened fruit (black cherry, wild blackberry) with spices and garrigue aromas. Incredibly juicy, mellow texture carried by soft, coated tannins, with a hint of chalky bitterness, reminiscent of the schistose origin of its terroir. Greedy finish lifted by a stimulating minerality. In spite of its youthfulness, this easily digestible "red canaille", right down to its presentation, is a perfect match for Mediterranean cuisine, such as marinated red tuna steaks with marbled Provençal-style tomatoes.
