"Fresh and charming!"
Le Petit Clos Maïa 2022 captivates with its brilliant ruby color. On the nose, it reveals intense, concentrated notes of crisp red fruit, nicely complexed by floral notes. The fresh attack is followed by fine, elegant tannins and a delicious fruitiness that stretches through to the finish. A convivial Languedoc to share!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine noté Sélectionné (An estate or house that has won us over with one or more wines from its production, without us being able to give a general opinion on the style of the entire range)
About the domain :
Géraldine Laval vinifies her terrasses-du-larzac at La Vacquerie. Trained as an oenologist after a spell with Jean-Louis Chave, she is gradually converting her estate to organic production. An estate to watch closely.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated wine (guide 2024) 90/100 (Vintage 2021)
Domaine rated (guide 2024) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winegrowers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
In 2009, after training with some of the region's top winemakers, led by Olivier Jullien, Géraldine Laval set up on high-altitude plots in the Terrasses du Larzac, in the Poujols et Lauroux area, in the extreme north-west of the appellation. This small 6-hectare estate benefits from a plot composed of mature vines. A talented and passionate winemaker, Géraldine Laval expresses the purity, tension and uprightness of her terroirs with precision and sensitivity. The estate has managed the 2021 vintage well and presents a very fair range.

Note and review by M. GILLES D. Published on 08/05/2024
There's nothing new under the sun at Le Petit Clos versus 2022, except a crisper texture than in 2021 on a threadbare mineral framework with sustained acidity, but lacking body and substance. The finish is in unison, fresh and acidic, rather fleeting. A fruity, easy-to-drink everyday juice, but lacking in personality and expensive. A curiosity best served with light dishes, such as poultry liver salad.
