If you had to sum up the history of Domaine Les Jamelles The history of these wines has been punctuated by a series of more or less fortuitous encounters that led to the creation of the brand in the early 1990s and its development over the last two decades.

Catherine and her husband Laurent Delaunay, young oenologists, have imagined a range of pleasurable, gourmet and aromatic wines that would appeal to all wine lovers, whether neophytes or more experienced connoisseurs. The range would be called Les Jamelles: a feminine name to evoke the roundness of our wines, plural to reflect the diversity of our grape varieties, and lilting to recall our Languedoc origins.

After more than 25 years criss-crossing the Languedoc vineyards, Catherine and her team have succeeded in taming this unrivalled diversity of terroirs and selecting those that best express each of the 26 grape varieties in the range. The wines come mainly from some fifteen terroirs spread throughout the Languedoc-Roussillon region, with a concentration on the Aude and Hérault departments. With more than 30 cuvées sold in 45 countries, Les Jamelles has become a benchmark for quality French varietal wines.

With this Chardonnay, Catherine Delaunay demonstrates all her Burgundian savoir-faire. The wine is complex and elegant, perfectly balanced between freshness and fruit (apricot, pear). Its finely wooded aromas reveal themselves subtly, with notes of marron glacé and praline. Very expressive on the palate, with a slightly buttery, lemony finish , this cuvée is a sure bet!

This Pinot Noir reveals a nose of red and black berries, floral notes and a delicate touch of wood and vanilla. Rich, long and fat, its tannins are well coated and melted. Complex on the palate. Its mineral touch gives it a lovely freshness. A perfect balance!
