This new red cuvée, with its cherry-red burlat color, is based on a southern blend of Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The nose reveals intense flavors of black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), garrigue (juniper) and subtle woody notes. The palate is full-bodied and fleshy, with melting tannins. tannins. Pair with meat in sauce, such as rabbit chasseur.

I opened the 1st bottle too quickly, too soon. I was stuck with a puech haut rouge 2017 ? LE TOP ... this wine will be fine in 2 to 4 years.

The tannins are so aggressive as to be undrinkable. A big disappointment for a Puech Haut devotee.
